History

  • 2002 – MGC Advanced Polymers, Inc. is incorporated and land purchased to construct a manufacturing facility.
  • 2005 – Construction and startup of a state-of-the-art facility to produce quality product is completed.
  • 2006 – Registration to the ISO 9001:2000 standard achieved.
  • 2007 – Registration to the ISO 14001:2004 standard is achieved.
  • 2008 – Recipient of the Gold Award from Chesterfield County for exemplary industrial waste pretreatment compliance and an award for Exemplary Pollution Prevention Implementation.
  • 2009 – Recipient of the Silver Award from the Virginia Water Environment Association for exemplary industrial waste pretreatment compliance.
  • 2011 – Certificate of Global Achievement awarded by Virginia Economic Development Partnership’s Division of International Trade for successful completion of the export development program Virginia Leaders in Export Trade.
  • 2012 – MGC Advanced Polymers, Inc. adopts Port Walthall Drive as part of Virginia’s Adopt-A-Highway program.
  • 2012 – Chesterfield County Industrial Pretreatment section awards MGC Advanced Polymers, Inc. with the Platinum Award for pretreatment compliance and the Exemplary Pollution Prevention Implementation for significant waste reduction as a result of the implementation of a solid-waste recycling project and for infrastructure upgrades.
  • 2014 – Additional solid state reactor installed to increase capacity of food packaging grades.
  • 2016 – MGC Advanced Polymers, Inc. is recognized as an Exemplary Environmental Enterprise (E3) company as part of Virginia’s Environmental Excellence Program  by demonstrating proactive environmental management, compliance with environmental requirements and continuous improvement in its environmental performance.
  • 2017 – Added bulk silo storage and weigh scale to provide compounding grades in bulk trucks to customers.
